I recently started using an internet search engine that saves 2m² of rainforest with each web search I do. Their search results are as good as Google or Yahoo, and it’s free.

The address is: www.ecosia.org.

A small change in your internet searching habits can make a big difference to the world, and this is a great example of business making an amazing positive impact to the environment.

Check it out, and if you like it, then spread the word.

Could this be the new Flaunt-mobile? I vote YES! I’m bored of flying from Melbourne to Sydney and think it’s time to hit the road in this three wheeled Piaggio.

The German who designed this custom fit out said “My aim was to give people a better understanding of the country, the surrounding, and the range they have traveled. The traveling vehicle is always with you like some kind of a base camp, while also being used for moving on in an easygoing and spontaneous way,”

Flaunt first approach United Nude about 18 months ago asking when this exciting shoe brand was coming to Australia. We are now very excited to represent United Nude in Australia for PR and sales.

The amazing shoe pictured above has been designed by Iris van Herpen (ex Alexander McQueen). We are waiting for the sample, but the images are amazing. The company has asked us to find Australia’s finest boutiques to stock this limited edition, and we are sure to get loads of media interest too.

Found this old issue while cleaning out one of the Flaunt office cupboards. I still love it as a mantra.

Flaunt has three straight men now working in the Melbourne office - a record number for the 15 years we have been in business. So for them, I have posted images from three of my favourite underwear campaigns for S/S 2010. First from France is Princesse Tam Tam, then from Canada a great brand called Blush, and finally a couple of images from Turkish based Sunset. Enjoy boys!

The Future of Retail

A very useful piece of research was released today by New York based trend research company PSFK titled “The Future of Retail”. One of the blogs we follow, Afingo, has posted a good summary of this 80 page report, and here’s the link.

The Coolhunter newsletter was great this morning. My two favourite stories were the OHWOW Bookclub store in Greenwich Village, and the Dutch Football Federation FIFA World Cup t-shirt.

This would have to be the world’s best car park - and it’s right here in Melbourne created by Axel Peemoeller. He said “I developed a way-finding-system for the Eureka Tower Carpark. The distorted letters on the wall can be read perfectly when standing at the right position.” This project won several international design awards.
